Josh and Kelly's Wedding

Everything was perfect - Kelly in her "getting ready" room was surrounded by friends and family who made sure it would be that way. As she looked in the mirror for the first time as a "bride" tears came to her eyes and the eyes of all those around her (thank goodness for waterproof mascara!) There was a full house at St. John Lutheran Church to witness Josh and Kelly's vows. After a bubble send off, we took just a few moments to catch the sun before it set - and how beautiful it was. A perfectly crisp autumn day.
On to the reception in the Bradley University ballroom..set up with twinkle lights behind tulle and a lit fountain under the cake - the lights and music were just beautiful...and then suddenly the music stopped, lights went out and we were left with only candle light and emergency lights. Bradley had experienced a gas leak and CILCO had cut the power. It sounds horrible, but everyone had a great time! The creative DJ strung extension cords from our building to the next and we had music for the dances - which is really all you need anyway. All in all, when going through these pictures, I didn't remember the fact that the electricity went out, but that everyone supported this couple who is clearly so in love.

Congratulations Josh and Kelly!
