6-7-08. Likely the day when more couples chose to say their vows than any other day this year (now none of those guys have ANY excuse to forget their anniversary date...) Shawn and Megan also chose this day to say their vows at St. Philomena in Peoria. The ceremony was beautiful as the very stylishly dressed bridal party and family and friends looked on. The clouds chose to drop all their rain during the hour of the ceremony, leaving the sky dry, but air about as humid as can be. That didn't stop these two from going outdoors anyway and making some beautiful images. Though by the end we were all "glistening" and ready for some much needed A/C. The storms stayed to the north as we traveled to the Ashland House in Morton for the reception. Could that cake have been any more fun!? It definitely wins the "most creative" award in my book of wedding cakes! The reception was truly beautiful with a wonderful pianist followed by an evening filled with dancing, friends and family.
Congratulations Shawn and Megan!
