This is Malign Lake in Jasper National Park. We saw many lakes, beautiful world-renowned lakes, but this one might have been my favorite. It was relaxed, unpretentious and could be waded in which was SO much fun, although the numbness set in a bit to quickly. We planned on renting a canoe and rowing around a bit but neither of us had a watch or phone on us and there was a strict 1 or 2 hour limit. I was quite disappointed that I couldn't find the famous Spirit Island before realizing that it was a good 1 1/2 hour, $40 boat trip away from where we were. This is a huge lake we're talking about! Anyway, after our hot and dusty fiasco at Malign Canyon (we got lost on the trails...) this lake was a welcome, refeshing surprise.
